Modelling of the buttocks with own fat characteristics

Buttocks are one of the areas of the body that affect the overall assessment of a person's appearance. It is for this reason that some people - usually particularly women's representatives - try to look after the lower back. Buttocks used for buttocking, eg modelling the buttocks with their own fat, may affect both the appearance of the skin of this region of the body and the shape of the buttocks.
The genes inherited from the parents primarily determine what human buttocks look like. That is why some people have bigger ones and others have smaller buttocks. The appearance of the buttocks patients can influence completely independently - an example of such a possibility is to perform various exercises improving the appearance of the buttocks.

Physical activity can definitely have a positive effect on the appearance of the buttocks, however, unfortunately, it is impossible to achieve any effects expected by the patients. Exercises will not help, for example, in the case of significant asymmetry between the size of both buttocks of the patient, with their help it will not be possible to correct the buttocks defects associated, for example, with the sensation of some injury in this area of the body. Patients of this type, and also with other problems, can be recommended for various types of medical buttock modelling treatments, eg modelling the buttocks with their own fat, so-called. lipofilling.

Correct the appearance of the buttocks can be both through invasive procedures and those that are associated with almost complete lack of invasiveness. In the case of the first of these, we refer here to such procedures as, for example, surgical buttock lifting with the use of a scalpel or the procedure of implanting the implants in the buttocks' interior. For procedures with low invasiveness you can include those procedures that are based on the introduction of medical fillers into the human body. In this case, the buttocks can be enlarged with the use of Aquafilling Bodyline or Macrolane, but also with the use of a completely natural material, such as the patient's own fat tissue.

Modelling the buttocks with their own fat is also known as lipofilling of the buttocks. This treatment is interesting because thanks to it it is possible to model not only the buttocks, but also those body zones from which fatty tissue is taken. Probably this fact alone is a big advantage of lipofillingu buttocks, besides it can also be distinguished at least a few other advantages of this procedure.

Modelling the buttocks with their own fat benefits

Modelling the buttocks with our own fat is an example of the fact that popular sayings are reflected in reality. Well, in the case of this procedure, it can be said that it is really possible to "bake two birds with one stone" - we are talking about the fact that thanks to the surgery, it is possible to enlarge the buttocks while slimming other parts of the body. In the case of the latter, it comes to the regions from which the adipose tissue is taken - after obtaining it, whether it's a thigh or a stomach (depending on which area is a recipient), they can become clearly slimmer.
Another benefit of modelling the buttocks with their own fat is that the procedure does not involve the risk of rejection of transplanted tissue. The use finds its own material, coming directly from a given patient - it ensures not only that the transplant will not be rejected, but also reduces the risk of an allergic reaction to zero.

As another advantage of modelling the buttocks with their own fat, we can mention that the procedure can also benefit those who have a lot of obligations on a daily basis and therefore struggle with a constant shortage of time - after having modeled the buttocks with their own fat tissue there is no need for staying in the hospital. An important aspect for patients is probably also the fact that after the procedure there are basically no traces left. The transplanted tissue is inserted into the buttocks by means of needles, so that there are no traces of medical interference in the recipient area. Small scars, just a few millimeters, can in turn remain in places from which fat tissue was collected for transplantation.
It is also worth mentioning that the result obtained by modelling the buttocks with their own fat result is simply natural. As in the case of implantation into the buttocks of the implants, they are noticeable for the environment, so it is different for people who have lipophilized buttocks. The buttocks are made of both muscle and fat tissue - if only the transplanted material is properly taken in the recipient's place, it should not be noticeable to the patient's surroundings that it has somehow corrected the appearance of his buttocks.

Indications for the procedure

The basic indication for modelling the buttocks with their own fat is the patient's desire to correct the appearance of this region of the body. Modelling the buttocks with their own fat can be a solution to the problem in the form of too small (according to the patient) buttocks, but also lead to the elevation of these structures. The indication for lipofilling of the buttocks may also be the occurrence of asymmetry between the two buttocks of the patient. Still another state in which the procedure may be useful is to supplement the tissue defects in the buttocks (which occurred, for example, as a result of the patient experiencing some trauma in this area of the body).

Contraindications for the procedure

The basic contraindication to modelling the buttocks with own fat can be too low body weight of the patient. In this situation, it happens that there are simply no such areas of the body in which there is enough body fat to pick it up and then transplant into the inside of the buttocks.

As other contraindications to modelling the buttocks with own fat, you can mention:

• pregnancy and breastfeeding period,
• neoplastic and autoimmune diseases,
• chronic diseases of non-normalized course (such as, for example, diabetes, hypothyroidism, renal failure or advanced hypertension or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease),
• blood coagulation disorders (especially weak blood coagulation resulting from both haematological and anticoagulant medicines, such as aspirin, acenocoumarin or warfarin),
• active infections (regarding both the area from which the adipose tissue and the buttock area should be taken).

Before the surgery

Before modelling the buttocks with your own fat, a doctor will be consulted who will perform the procedure. Consultation is a required and at the same time very important stage, because it is during this time that the patient is qualified to model the buttocks with his own fat, but it is also checked whether the procedure will be completely safe for a given patient.

The first stage of the consultation is to check exactly what the problem with the buttocks is in the patient and then to assess whether it will be possible to eliminate it through the transplantation of adipose tissue. The candidate for lipofilling of the buttocks also collects an accurate medical history - this is to exclude any possible contraindications to the procedure. Among the contraindications to modelling the buttocks with own fat, among others, taking by the patient medicines with anti-coagulant effect. Indeed, such a condition may make it impossible to undergo the described procedure, but it does not have to, therefore patients who want to travel lipofilling buttocks should not conceal information about their medications before the doctor. In the case of the aforementioned preparations, their use may make it impossible to carry out the procedure in that there would be an increased risk of bleeding both during and after the procedure. Sometimes, however - if only the patient's condition allows it and it will be safe for him - it is possible to temporarily discontinue drugs that reduce blood clotting and then it is possible to model the buttocks with their own fat.

Type of anaesthesia

Modelling the buttocks with their own fat is not a procedure associated with high invasiveness, however - so that the patient does not experience discomfort during it - and so it is used during anaesthesia. Typically lipofilling of the buttocks is carried out under local anaesthesia, but it is also possible that the procedure will be performed under general anaesthesia.

How does the procedure work?

The treatment begins with the anaesthesia mentioned above. The whole procedure of lipofilling of the buttocks can be divided into two stages: the first is to take the transplanted material, the second in turn introducing the obtained adipose tissue into the recipient area.

Body fat is used to model the buttocks with its own fat by liposuction. However, you can not use any kind of fat suction technique for this procedure - only gentler methods (such as water liposuction) are selected, during which no significant damage to the collected material occurs. Cannulas with a few millimeters in diameter are used to obtain the material. The places from which the material is taken can vary completely from person to person. The choice depends primarily on the areas in which the body of a given person has clear deposits of adipose tissue. In one patient, the fatty tissue collected from his thighs will be used to model the buttocks with his own fat, while in another case the abdominal region will be used as the recipient area.

Liposuction obtained by liposuction undergoes appropriate modifications (eg the process of centrifugation) and only this prepared material can be used to carry out the next part of the procedure. The transplanted material is inserted into the buttocks usually with the help of small needles - thanks to this, after the procedure, buttocks are usually not visible after the patient's interference was made to modify the appearance of this area of the body.

Modelling the buttocks with their own fat usually takes several dozen minutes. The treatment may last one hour, another one in two hours - the exact duration of the procedure depends, among others, on on whether the fat will be obtained only from one or several areas of the patient's body. Lipofilling of the buttocks is a procedure after which leaving the hospital is not necessary - the patient returns home the same day.

Time and course of convalescence

The total recovery time after shaping your buttocks with your own fat does not usually exceed two weeks. The largest restrictions on normal activity are valid for about 7 days after the procedure - it is precisely during this time that patients should avoid significant physical exertion. During the remaining period of convalescence, however, restrictions apply to certain activities, such as going to the swimming pool or using the sauna.

After lipofilling of the buttocks, patients can basically return to their daily obligations the very next day. As mentioned above, for a few days they are subject to restrictions on their efforts - if the patient's work is associated with significant physical activity, it may be necessary to take several days of leave. Whether the patient will actually have to rest at home for a few days after surgery, however, the doctor always decides.

During the first few days after modelling the buttocks with own fat, the patient may experience different degrees of buttock edema. This phenomenon is a natural consequence of the procedure and usually within a few days completely disappears completely.

Effects after surgery

The results of lipofilling of the buttocks depend partly on the reason why the procedure was performed on the patient. For those who have small buttocks, the procedure is to enlarge those parts of the body. Thanks to the modelling of the buttocks with own fat, it is also possible to level the asymmetry between the two buttocks. Patients may also obtain rejuvenation of the lower back region - apart from fat cells, in the transplanted material there are also stem cells, which are characterized by the action stimulating the regeneration of the body.

The first effects of the treatment are visible immediately after its implementation, but the final results are only after a dozen or so weeks. This relationship is related to the fact that part of the transplanted material simply dies - only after the transplanted adipose tissue is integrated, it is possible to finally assess the results of lipofilling of the buttocks.

Recommendations after the procedure

Patients should avoid significant physical effort during the first 7 days after the procedure. For a period of two weeks after the lipofilling of the buttocks, activities such as going to the swimming pool, sauna or the use of hot baths should be avoided.

In order to maximize the results achieved, it may be recommended to massage the buttocks and sometimes also to use special pressure dressings. It should also be stressed that patients (especially during the first two weeks after surgery) should pay special attention to the areas undergoing the procedure. During this time, they should avoid irritating the tissues of the buttocks (eg by rubbing) and try not to sleep in a position on the back.

How long do the effects last after the treatment last?

The length of the results of modelling the buttocks with their own fat is an individual aspect. Generally, this fatty tissue, which will take on the buttocks, stays in this region of the body. However, it should be emphasized that this tissue is subject to the same processes as fat in other parts of the human body. For this reason - for example, with a drastic change in diet and a large loss of body weight - to reduce the volume of adipose tissue can also occur in the buttocks, so that the effects of modelling the buttocks with a transplant of your own fat tissue can simply disappear.

How to avoid complications after the procedure?

Complications after modelling the buttocks with their own fat are rarely observed, but patients may still be wondering if there are any ways to reduce the risk of their occurrence. It should be emphasized that the risk of complications is influenced by decisions made before surgery. It is important to choose an experienced specialist who will perform lipofilling of the buttocks - already using the services of a doctor who repeatedly carried out a given procedure may reduce the risk of complications after the procedure.

To reduce the risk of complications, patients should also remember to follow the instructions after the procedure. Avoiding the effort or gentle treatment of the treated buttocks also make the possibility of complications significantly reduced.

Possible complications after the procedure

After lipofilling of the buttocks complications appear rarely, however - just like any other medical procedure - there is always some, even minimal, risk of some complications.

In the case of this procedure, potential complications include:
• infections within the tissues subject to the procedure,
• occurrence of asymmetry between the buttocks,
• formation of a hematoma,
• the appearance of hypertrophic scars,
• prolonged persistence of buttocks swelling.

Recommended additional treatments after the procedure

As an additional operation to model the buttocks with your own fat, you can treat both the repetition of the same procedure for a given patient and offering a completely different kind of treatment. In the case of the first option mentioned above, we refer to situations in which, after a single lipofilling of the buttocks, it was not possible to obtain satisfactory results. In this case, it is possible to perform an additional session of modelling the buttocks with a transplant of own fat.

As a different, recommended additional procedure, you can in turn exchange injections of platelet rich plasma (PRP) preparations. This material obtained from the patients themselves is characterized by nutritional and regenerative properties, therefore, the injections of platelet-rich plasma into the body region to which the adipose tissue was transplanted, may increase the chances that the survival rate of transplanted fat cells will increase.
